No Win 8.1 update

Hi there

I've a problem with my laptop (Asus UX31A), originally it was under
W8-64 home edition (or something like that).
I need to have it under W8 professional so my company bought a w8 pro
license (MAK license).
I never saw any proposal from Windows Update to update to W8.1 (and
W10). It could be linked to the fact that it is a MAK license but I
couldn't find any solution.
I can add that I have 6 updates that fail to instal :
KB3042058, KB3069114, KB2785094, KB2973501, KB2920189 and KB2975331
I don't know if it is linked to the problem above.

A MAK license is part of a corporate volume licensing setup. You get a
license the same as the product for what the volume license covers. See

Since you probably don't have an account there or the login credentials,
you'll have to discuss the problem with your IT folks back at your
company to have to log into their VLSC account to get the 8.1 upgrade,
and then give you a copy.

Go talk with the helpdesk or IT folks that gave you the MAK license to
find out from them how to get the 8.1 upgrade.
